Research: Development of normothermically perfused human organs as preclinical models of pharmacokinetic response
Tamsyn Clark studied medicine at the University of Bristol with an intercalated degree in Physiological Sciences. She then completed her Academic Foundation Programme in the West Midlands and undertook NIHR Academic Clinical Fellowship in Oxford. She is currently a CRUK Oxford Centre-funded clinical DPhil student based at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering.
What’s your current research and how could it impact patients?
My research focuses on the use of isolated, normothermic perfused organs to develop a model of therapeutic clearance, and in-situ cancer drug delivery
