Research: Nutrient supply and nucleotide metabolism in oestrogen receptor positive breast cancer
Ashvina is a CRUK funded Clinical Research Training Fellow and is undertaking a DPhil in translational cancer biology. She completed her medical degree in 2010 from the University of Cambridge and went on to do her basic surgical training there before moving to Oxford in 2015 where she holds a National Training Number in General Surgery.
She intends to specialise in Oncoplastic Breast surgery, and she is interested in the field of breast cancer. The focus of her research is investigating the link between obesity and breast cancer particularly at tumour microenvironment and nucleotide metabolism using mass spectrometry.
