Choosing the right diagnostic test to improve the patient experience

- Challenge: Developing novel diagnostic strategies
Oxford cancer researchers are working with large clinical datasets to identify which patient groups are likely to benefit from new technologies and modelling how to deploy these new tests in general practice to realise maximum patient benefit. We are building clinical risk prediction models to inform automated patient identification in NHS systems, and applying insights from major external collaborations (e.g. the DELTA project with Cambridge, and ADEPTS project with UCL, in oesophageal and pancreatic cancer respectively).
