Sara joined the University of Oxford in 2015 to work on cancer immunology at the Wellcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics. Sara then moved to the Kennedy Institute of Rheumatology in 2017 to pursue a DPhil in Molecular and Cellular Medicine with Associate Professor Jelena Bezbradica Mirkovic. Her research focus was on how the innate immune system senses environmental signals and initiates the appropriate inflammatory response.
