Computational analysis of neoantigen discovery from RNAseq and paired immune receptor datasets.

I completed my BSc at the Maastricht Science Programme (MSP), Maastricht University (The Netherlands), where I majored in Neuroscience and minored in Molecular Biology. During my studies, I developed an interest in the molecular mechanisms underlying disease and carried out computational research exploring connections between Alzheimer’s disease and type 2 diabetes.

I went on to pursue an MSc in Biomedical Sciences (Neuroscience; Pathophysiology and Psychopharmacology) at the University of Amsterdam, where I worked in academic hospital environments on projects in stroke and glioma research.

My decision to pursue a DPhil in Cancer Science stems from its interdisciplinary nature, bridging molecular biology, neuroscience, immunology, and data science to address complex questions in tumour biology. I am particularly interested in understanding how molecular and immune processes shape glioma development, using integrative transcriptomic and computational approaches within the broader themes of immuno-oncology and cancer big data.
