Abhinav Praveen
System Administrator
Abhinav is a System Administrator with specialist knowledge in technologies and platforms including Linux, Cloud Computing, Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code. Abhinav has previously served as the technical specialist during the creation of a High Performance Computing cluster at another university and has experience in providing computer resources to all kinds of users including students, academics and researchers, and collaborating with them to meet their needs. Abhinav has a personal appreciation both for well designed and implemented computer systems and for use of those system to generate value.
Abhinav, working with Andrew Blake, supports our computing infrastructure, both on premises and in the cloud, ensuring that it is secure, reliable, cost-effective, and performant. They support research projects including the GSK-Oxford Cancer Immuno-Prevention Programme. Abhinav is particularly focused on improving the existing infrastructure using modern technologies including Cloud Computing, Kubernetes and Infrastructure as Code (including Ansible and Terraform).
