Mae Goldgraben

Research Projects Manager

Before joining Oxford Cancer, Mae earned her PhD in Cancer Biology from the University of Cambridge, CRUK Cambridge Research Institute in 2014. Her research under the supervision of Professor Carlos Caldas, focused on investigating the role of microRNAs in breast cancer, using both in vitro and in vivo models. Following her PhD, Mae pursued postdoctoral training with Professor Marc Tischkowitz in the Department of Medical Genetics at Cambridge, until 2021. Supported primarily by Children with Cancer UK, her research involved generating and analysing next-generation sequencing data to uncover genetic predisposition in specific subtypes of paediatric cancers.

With a strong interest in translating cancer research into clinical impact, Mae now works as a Research Projects Manager at Oxford Cancer.
