  • Challenge: Making the most of health data Challenge: Minimising immuno-oncology toxicity

Oxford's ability to interrogate health data at scale allows research to be developed beyond traditional site-driven recruitment. All UK melanoma patients are invited to join and allow access to their health records. Individuals can choose their degree of involvement from only giving access to their data, through providing biological samples, to framing and prioritising research questions. With international collaborators this project is building a cohort (n>20,000) capable of addressing key questions on the interaction between genetic and lifestyle factors in risk of recurrence and response to treatments.
