Colorectal cancer is the fourth most common cancer in the UK. Over 100 people are diagnosed with it every day.
CORECT-R is the largest project of its kind in the world. It is an extremely secure, but accessible tool in which data relevant to colorectal cancer in the UK is efficiently linked, curated and analysed.
By gathering huge amounts of data and making it available for data scientists to analyse, researchers are answering questions about the risks of developing cancer and the most effective treatment options for individuals.
